Welcome to 3 Einstein class page!
Our class name is 3 Einstein – we are going to be carrying out lots of research as to why Albert Einstein is an inspirational figure in the world today over the course of the year.
Our class is named after Albert Einstein as we are interested in his ability to think outside of the box and apply creativity and imagination to science and the wider world.
The teachers in 3 Einstein are Mrs Perkinson and Mrs Riley, we also have Mrs Everton and Miss King supporting the children throughout the year.
Each half-term we have a whole school concept that we follow. We then have our own Year 3 learning question linked to this concept.
See our curriculum pages below to find out more about what we are up to.
Weekly homework will consist of:
- Reading at home at least 4 times a week – please sign your child’s reading diary and ensure that the reading book and diary are brought back into school.
- Times Table practise on TTRS – children will be offered challenges on there – can they beat their teachers’ scores?
- Spelling to practise, with a test in school on a Friday. You child also can also access games on Spelling Shed.
- Creative curriculum half termly homework linked to our topic.
Our P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday. The children have their swimming lesson on Tuesdays. Girls will need a one-piece swimming costume, boys will need fitted shorts or shorts above the knee with no pockets. The children will also need a towel. We will be asking children to take their P.E. kits home on a Friday so that they can be washed and brought back into school the following Thursday.
We do update class Dojo frequently and it is a great way of communicating. Please keep checking for messages and photos of our learning on there.
