Bulwell St Mary’s C of E Primary School has had a partnership with Challenge Partners for a number of years now.
Their mission is to improve pupils' outcomes and reduce educational inequality through effective collaboration, enabling every pupil to experience the combined wisdom of the education system.
To work towards that mission, they have collectively adopted four core aims that guide the process:
Improve pupils’ examination results at a rate above the national average and accelerate progress of the disadvantaged
Enable all our schools to improve at a rate above the national average
Create more national leaders and outstanding schools that fulfil the Teaching Schools criteria
Develop a world class, self-improving and sustainable system that contributes to national research and policy-making
Challenge Partners is a practitioner-led charity that enables collaboration between schools to enhance the life chances of all children, especially the most disadvantaged.
Their unique approach has been developed through over more than 20 years' work. Challenge Partners was formed to continue the learning which emerged from the development of Teaching Schools that evolved out of the London Challenge.
Below you can click a link to our latest challenge partners report from January 2018. We are very proud to have been graded outstanding in all areas with an area of excellence confirmed as:
‘Improving outcomes for vulnerable groups of pupils by effective leadership and deployment of support staff and evidence based interventions.’
From this we have supported numerous schools from across our local area and the nation by opening our doors so that they can observe the excellent practice that we have developed.
