Bulwell St Mary's Church of England Primary & Nursery School offers an education that is distinctively Christian. Our school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote our School Christian values through the experience we offer all of our pupils.
Bishop Paul Visits Bulwell St Mary's
On 5th March we were greatly blessed by a visit from Bishop Paul. He joined us alongside Father Andrew and Reverend Bob for our Ash Wednesday Service in school. Bishop Paul shared about his role in the Diocese and how he enjoys visiting children in local schools. Bishop Paul even participated in a pancake flipping contest with Reverend Bob!
As part of the service, the children and staff were offered the opportunity to receive the cross in ash on their forehead, as is traditional at an Ash Wednesday service. Bishop Paul was also kind enough to offer prayer and blessings to any staff member who requested it.
We were tremendously honoured to have Bishop Paul visit us at Bulwell St Mary's and we look forward to welcoming him again soon.

Prayer Leaders
Our Prayer Leaders contribute to Collective Worship both at a Whole School Level and with Classes. They lead the children in prayers, activitely particpate in Collective Worship and lead the children in signing along to worship songs.
Prayer Leaders at Bulwell St Mary's are excellent role models during Collective Worship, Learning Times and Play times. They consistently embody our Christian School Values and our Take Care Ethos.
