Maths at BSM

At BSM we are inquisitive, problem solving mathematicians of the future! Every child is given the chance to flourish and apply their learning to real life experiences.

All our Maths lessons follow the structure of:

Children are given the opportunity to recap previous learning daily and using the four operations. In the moment assessment of what children already know on an objective, supports teaching and guidance before children are able to independently apply, problem solve and reason to show their understanding. We actively encourage pupils to represent their understanding through a range of concrete, pictorial and abstract representations.

F2 to Year 6 follow White Rose Yearly Overview which breaks each objective down into small steps of learning.
